Each year, Mid-State Technical College welcomes area FFA students to campus for a hands-on Career Development Event competition. The event connects classroom learning to real-world agricultural careers.

Students from across the region compete in interactive contests that tested technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and teamwork. Each event reflects real industry expectations and introduced careers in agronomy, animal science, and agricultural business.

More than a competition, the FFA CDE helps students take the next step in their journey. By hosting regional FFA events, Mid-State builds early connections with prospective students and strengthens its role in agricultural education across central Wisconsin.

Faculty, industry partners, and volunteers support students throughout the day by offering guidance, evaluating performance, and sharing career insights. These interactions help students see what they can do and where those skills can take them.

Events like the FFA CDE competition help Mid-State grow the agricultural workforce by engaging students early and showing them a future in a changing industry.
