At Mid-State Technical College, Health & Wellness Promotion students do more than study healthy living. They learn how to inspire healthier communities.
Through Mid-State’s fully online program, students explore a holistic approach to wellness while building the skills needed to support individuals, organizations, and communities. Coursework focuses on behavior change, wellness education, and strategies that improve quality of life and encourage healthy lifestyles.
Students apply their learning through hands-on experiences that prepare them for real careers in the growing wellness field. They design wellness programs, create educational campaigns, and develop strategies that support long-term lifestyle change.
Through practicum experiences, students work directly with community partners in settings such as fitness centers, nonprofits, and public health organizations. These opportunities help students gain real-world experience while making a positive impact.
Mid-State’s program also offers flexibility for students balancing school, work, and life. As the only program of its kind in the Wisconsin Technical College System, it provides fully online courses, multiple start dates, and opportunities to earn nationally recognized credentials while completing a degree.
Students also connect with younger learners through outreach opportunities such as summer academies and dual credit experiences, helping inspire future wellness professionals.
Through hands-on learning, community partnerships, and flexible online education, Mid-State prepares graduates for careers as wellness coaches, community health advocates, and program coordinators ready to make a difference from day one.
