Mid-State Technical College has been recognized as Wisconsin’s Top Technical College for 2025 by Education Insider magazine. The award honors Mid-State’s strong reputation among students, employers and peers across the state as well as its continued commitment to workforce development and community partnership. 

The recognition follows an extensive review by an expert panel of executives, industry leaders and the Insider editorial board. Mid-State was selected from a pool of nominated institutions for its focus on innovation, employer collaboration and student success. 

“This acknowledgment reflects the shared dedication of our faculty, staff and partners to serve students and strengthen our communities,” said Dr. Shelly Mondeik, president of Mid-State Technical College. “Our I-CARE values—Student Centeredness, Integrity, Commitment, Accountability, Respect, and Exceptional Service—guide every decision we make to ensure students are supported and prepared for success.” 

Serving an eight-county district through campuses in Adams, Marshfield, Stevens Point and Wisconsin Rapids, Mid-State offers hands-on learning in programs designed with input from industry partners. Its focus on practical skills and applied learning continues to align education with regional workforce needs and opportunities.
