Career Resources on Blackboard
Mid-State students can access the Career Services Resource Center on Blackboard. This is your convenient, online hub for career guidance.
Inside the Resource Center, you’ll find:
- Career information and helpful websites
- News articles and career-related content
- Sample résumés, cover letters, and other documents
- Video-based seminars and tutorials
- Career Services–created resources
- Discussion boards to ask questions and connect with other students
How to Access the Career Services Resource Center
- Log in to Blackboard.
- Click the Mid-State Community tab.
- Open the Organization Catalog and choose Student Services.
- Find Career_Services2, open the dropdown, and select Self-Enroll.
- Follow the prompts to enroll.
Once enrolled, the Resource Center will appear under My Organizations each time you log in.
Find Jobs and Internships with Handshake
Handshake connects Mid-State students and alumni with employers offering internships, part-time jobs, and full-time positions.
With Handshake, you can:
- Search and apply for jobs related to your program of study.
- Access opportunities any time, from anywhere.
- Upload your résumé so employers can find you.
- Discover new postings as they’re added regularly.
Getting Started with Handshake
- Current students: Log in using your Mid-State network username and password.
- Alumni: Create a free account to get started.
