Whether you’re transitioning from military service, returning to school, or continuing your education, we offer resources, benefits, and personalized guidance to help you succeed—academically and personally.
Mid-State Veterans Benefits
Mid-State offers a range of benefits and services designed specifically for veterans and military-connected students.
Military and Veteran Financial Benefits
Veterans who have earned eligibility through active duty, the Selective Reserve, or the National Guard may be certified to receive state and federal education benefits. These may include the Post-9/11 GI Bill®, Montgomery GI Bill®, Dependents benefits, VA Vocational Rehabilitation, and Wisconsin GI Bill® Tuition Remission.
Most Mid-State programs are approved for veteran education benefits.
Credit for Military Service
You may be able to earn college credit for your military training and experience through Mid-State’s Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) process. Military experience may be evaluated using:
American Council on Education (ACE) recommendations, or Documented, demonstrated learning that aligns with Mid-State course competencies
Service Member Priority Registration
Eligible service members and veterans may receive priority registration, helping you enroll in classes earlier and better plan your schedule.
Mid-State Veterans Club
The Mid-State Veterans Club provides a supportive community for student veterans, service members, and allies. The club offers opportunities to connect with others who share similar experiences, build camaraderie, and stay engaged on campus.
All veterans and supporters are encouraged to join.
