Mid-State Technical College’s Workforce & Economic Development division is proud to host the Tactical Strength & Readiness Symposium, a two-day event designed to equip public safety professionals with the tools they need to perform at their best—physically, mentally and under pressure.

Taking place July 21–22 at Mid-State’s Wisconsin Rapids Campus, the symposium will bring together expert speakers and practitioners for keynote presentations and interactive breakout sessions focused on resilience, recovery, stress regulation, nutrition and performance in high-stakes environments.

The event is open to professionals across public safety sectors, including law enforcement, fire/EMS, dispatch, corrections, emergency management, DNR and military personnel.

A featured keynote speaker, Todd Blyleven, recognized for his heroic actions during the 2017 Route 91 mass shooting in Las Vegas, will share insights on courage, clarity and leadership through adversity.

Early bird registration is now available for $190 for the full two-day experience through June 4, offering attendees a discounted rate to access this high-impact professional development opportunity. Standard pricing is $225 for two days or $125 for a single day, with final registration closing July 10.

“We have partnered with Advanced Tactical Medicine for this event, and they are investing a significant amount of time and personnel resources to ensure a high-quality experience for attendees,” said Rick Anderson, dean of Mid-State’s Adams Campus and School of Public Safety. “This collaboration strengthens the real-world relevance and impact of the training.”

Participants will also benefit from networking opportunities, including a dedicated networking lunch and evening event, as well as collaborative discussions aimed at turning ideas into actionable strategies.
