Financial Wellness
Stay on Track with Caring Support
At Mid-State, we understand that money worries can sometimes get in the way of your education. That’s why we offer caring support and practical resources to help you stay focused, stress less, and keep moving toward your goals.
Whether you’re facing an unexpected expense, want to make a plan for your budget, or just need help understanding your financial aid, we’re here for you.
Emergency Resources
Emergency Resources Application
If an unexpected expense is putting your education at risk, complete our Emergency Resources Application to request help. This option provides fast support for students facing financial hardship that could prevent them from staying in school.
- Funding is made possible through generous donors and partners, including the Mid-State Foundation and the Wisconsin Technical College System.
- Payments are made directly to the third party (like a landlord or utility company).
Emergency Gift Cards
You can also request additional help through Mid-State's Emergency Gift Cards Request Form.
Campus Food Pantries
No student should have to choose between food and their education. Each Mid-State campus has a food pantry for student use. Students are encouraged to use this resource as needed—no questions asked. Mid-State’s food pantries are:
- Free of charge
- Available whenever the campus is open—no appointment required
Campus food pantries were made possible by our generous donors, including Mid-State employees and the Mid-State Technical College Foundation, Inc.
Financial Wellness Services
In addition to emergency and food support, Mid-State offers confidential, one-on-one financial resource counseling for current students. These sessions can help you:
- Review your budget and spending habits
- Learn smart money management strategies
- Plan your finances through graduation
- Find additional community and college resources
