Sponsor a Scholar Program

A Partnership for Your Future

These partner-supported scholarships connect students entering high-need workforce programs to businesses willing to sponsor their education. If selected for Sponsor a Scholar you could receive up to $10,000 toward the cost of your program, including tuition, fees, books, and tools. This could be 100 percent of the cost of your degree! In exchange, you simply commit to working for your sponsoring employer post-graduation for a minimum time frame and maintain certain performance criteria while you work toward your degree.

Who Can Apply

You may be eligible for Sponsor a Scholar if you:

  • Plan to enter a high-need workforce program at Mid-State
  • Can enroll full-time in your program

Student Commitment

To remain eligible, students must:

  • Enroll full-time in an approved Mid-State program
  • Maintain the academic and professional standards set by their sponsoring business (such as GPA or degree requirements)
  • Work full-time for the sponsoring business for 1–2 years after graduation (depending on program length)

Students who do not meet program requirements may need to repay a portion of the funds received through Sponsor a Scholar.
