Technical Degree

Why Emergency Medical Technician?

Emergency Medical Technicians are vital members of first-response teams, delivering life-saving care in critical situations. In this program, you will learn to assess patients, manage trauma, and provide emergency medical treatment sanctioned by the Wisconsin Division of Health. You will gain the knowledge, confidence, and composure needed to make quick, sound decisions when every second counts.

At Mid-State, you’ll learn through a mix of classroom instruction, hands-on labs, and pre-hospital clinical experiences. Successfully completing the program qualifies you to take the National Registry of EMTs certification exam required for Wisconsin state licensure.
