There are two versions of Mid-State’s Fire Service Certification Academy. Each stems from a different partnership and funding source but offers a similar experience.

Marshfield Area

  • The Marshfield-area Fire Service Academy is offered in partnership with local school districts and Marshfield Fire and Rescue. High school students in these school districts are eligible to participate.

South Wood County

  • The South Wood County Fire Service Academy is funded by a grant from and developed in partnership with the Legacy Foundation of Central Wisconsin, Inc. High school students in Nekoosa, Port Edwards, Rudolph, Vesper, and Wisconsin Rapids are eligible to participate.

Why Start in High School?
