Service Member Priority Registration

What Is Priority Registration?

Priority registration allows eligible service members to register for Mid-State classes one day ahead of the official open registration date for any given semester.

You may be eligible for priority registration if you are a current or former member of the US Armed Forces who served on active duty under honorable conditions. You do not need to be using VA education benefits to qualify.

Eligible spouses are also entitled to priority registration. This includes spouses of:

  • Veterans who died from a service-connected disability
  • Service members missing in action, captured, or detained for more than 90 days
  • Veterans with a total service-connected disability
  • Veterans who died while a disability was in place

This benefit is not extended to dependents.

How to Receive Priority Registration

Priority registration is applied automatically each semester for returning students currently using VA education benefits at Mid-State.

If you are new to Mid-State, or have not attended for two consecutive semesters, you’ll need to submit documentation to request priority registration.
